— SPEAKER —

We are pleased to have Pastor Dave Stratton as our retreat speaker this year. He has served as principal at Lima Christian Academy for over 30 years.

Pastor Stratton grew up in Greenville, SC where his parents served on staff at Bob Jones University. After graduating from BJU with a degree in Bible, he felt the Lord calling him into full-time service. He went to Lima “for one year” until the Lord’s direction seemed clear. He has been in Ohio ever since!

Pastor Stratton has been instrumental in training the counseling staff at the Wilds Christian Camp for the past 38 years. Each spring, the day after graduation, he and his family pack up and move south for the summer where they all serve on the summer staff at the Wilds.

Pastor Stratton and his wife Dawn have three grown sons, and a junior high daughter.

PLANNING FOR THE RETREAT

With activities for fathers and sons of all ages, this weekend retreat provides opportunity for building special family memories. Challenging messages from God’s Word will speak to the hearts of fathers, grandfathers, teens, and young boys. While some prefer to bunk in one of our cabins (bring your own bedding), campsites are available for those who wish to bring their own tent or trailer.

REGISTRATION CHECK-IN begins at 4:00 p.m. Friday and continues through 6:45. Three meals are included, beginning with supper at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening. The retreat concludes mid-afternoon on Saturday.

REGISTRATIONS will be accepted as long as space is available. There is a discount for registrations received by March 1. Registrations received after April 18 are subject to a late fee.

GENERAL INFORMATION

What to bring: Bible, pencil or pen, overnight items, warm clothing, bedding (several blanketsspring nights can be cool!) or sleeping bag.

Do not bring: Tobacco, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, T-shirts with worldly advertising, or tank tops.

Dress Standards: (A copy of Peniel’s Standards for Dress and Conduct will be sent after registration is received) Collared shirts are to be worn for the Friday evening chapel service. Sports clothing should be brought for activities. Loose fitting pants that come to the knee may be worn.

Peniel Bible Camp reserves the right to ask any camper to change attire if it is deemed inappropriate in the estimation of the staff.
